The Sam Nunn School features three research tracks:
- International Security: explores areas such as the impact of emerging technologies on strategies of international conflict, cooperation, strategic stability, and governance
- Global Development: assesses topics in sustainability, environmental issues, global energy, political economy, and international economic governance/regulation that cut across the Global South and North.
- International Affairs, Science, and Technology: examines a range of issues from space policy, comparative and strategic/military innovation, international energy/environmental security, global diffusion of financial technology, and politics of international S&T regulation and institutions.
The related research address the causes and consequences of global challenges and opportunities by incorporating qualitative/quantitative methods, data and visual analytical tools, and regional perspectives.
