LTC Octavia Coleman

LTC Octavia T. Coleman is a native of Columbus, Georgia. She honorably completely six years of enlisted service in the Army Reserves prior to receiving her commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps in 1997. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Columbus State University, a Master of Public Administration from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Procurement and Acquisition Management from Webster University.

She is a graduate of the Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, the Combined Logistics Captain’s Career Course, the Combined Arms and Services Staff School, the Petroleum Course, Support Operations Course, the Army Office of Business Transformation Lean Six Sigma Course (Black Belt), Command and General Staff College and the Joint Forces Staff College.

LTC Coleman is assigned to the United States Army War College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania with duty as a United States Army Fellow, serving at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia.

She is married to LTC Byron T. Coleman who is currently serving as the Director of the Joint Culinary Center of Excellence, Fort Lee, Virginia.

Lt Col Christopher Sheffield

Lt Col Christopher SheffieldLieutenant Colonel Christopher M. Sheffield is the Commander, 39th Security Forces Squadron, Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. He commands 495 U.S. military personnel providing force protection, air base defense, security, and law enforcement activities for a 3,300 acre base and over 5,000 coalition personnel. The 39th Security Forces Squadron provides the first line of defense for $18 billion in strategic deterrence assets, including North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s largest nuclear deterrence stockpile. Additionally, the unit provides security for combat assets from seven coalition nations directly supporting four Combatant Commanders and providing direct support to Operations INHERENT RESOLVE and NOMAD SHADOW. Lieutenant Colonel Sheffield also serves as the 39th Air Base Wing’s Antiterrorism Officer, administering the antiterrorism program for Incirlik Air Base and five geographically separated units dispersed throughout Turkey.

Lieutenant Colonel Sheffield received his commission through the USAF Academy in 1999 and has served in a variety of Security Forces billets both stateside and overseas. He previously commanded two Security Forces Squadrons and deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan in support of Operations IRAQI and ENDURING FREEDOM. Prior to his current assignment, Lieutenant Colonel Sheffield served as Chief, Protection Operations & Plans Branch, United States Africa Command, Kelley Barracks, Stuttgart, Germany.
